Job summary

Healthscope Newcastle Private is seeking an experienced Clinical Midwifery Educator to join our close-knit maternity team. This permanent role offers flexibility from 0.6 to 1.0 FTE and the chance to mentor student, graduate and early-career midwives.

You will deliver education across the maternity service, coordinate orientation and competency assessments, and promote evidence-based practice to drive excellence in care.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Midwife.
• Minimum 4–5 years' post-registration midwifery experience.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or working towards.
• Experience teaching and mentoring midwives and students.

Are you passionate about developing the next generation of midwives?

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Midwifery Educator (CME) to join our close knit maternity team.
This permanent role offers flexibility from either a 0.6 to 1.0 FTE and the opportunity to mentor student, graduate and experienced midwives while driving excellence in education and evidence-based practice.

With over 1,700 births each year, Newcastle Private is the largest private maternity service north of Sydney, providing care across Birth Suite, Antenatal, Postnatal and Special Care Nursery.

Key Responsibilities

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2026, a salary ranging from $66 - $79 per hour.
