Job summary

Hatch is seeking an Intermediate Civil/Structural Engineer to deliver high-quality design across infrastructure projects, with a focus on transportation. You will support design from concept to detailed design, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring alignment to standards and client requirements.

Key duties include preparing structural designs, coordinating inputs across disciplines, and delivering documentation with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or working towards accreditation is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills for effective client and team collaboration.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Strand7/SpaceGass, DRAINS, MUSIC, Civil3D or 12D.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural design for infrastructure projects (concrete, steel, civil).
• Oversee development of project models per BIM standards.
• Review general arrangement drawings, reinforcement detailing and schedules.
• Coordinate structural, civil, mechanical, electrical and architectural inputs.
• Provide sketches and markups to assist design documentation development.
• Compile calculation packages and undertake project reporting.
• Liaise with clients to meet deliverables and timing.
