Job summary

XPT Software seeks a Senior Fabric Data Architect to design, govern, and implement enterprise-scale data platforms using Microsoft Fabric in Sydney. You will lead data architecture, lakehouse design, and secure, scalable data pipelines across ERP, CRM, and SaaS sources.

Focus on analytics enablement and modernization of legacy systems. Responsibilities include defining data models, establishing Bronze-Silver-Gold patterns, and enabling self-service BI with Power BI while ensuring governance,

Qualifications

Proven experience designing enterprise data architectures.
Experience with data governance, security, and compliance.
Ability to lead architecture workshops and advise stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design enterprise data architecture using Fabric components (OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory).
Define conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Establish Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture patterns (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
Create enterprise-wide data integration frameworks and reusable patterns.
Architect batch, streaming, and event-driven ingestion solutions.
Design data pipelines with Fabric Data Factory, Notebooks, Dataflows Gen2, and APIs.
Integrate data from ERP, CRM, SaaS, databases, files, and external platforms.
Implement scalable ELT/ETL solutions.
Enable self-service BI and analytics through Power BI.
Implement data governance using Microsoft Purview and Fabric governance.
