New Plumbing Solutions is seeking Water Metering Technicians for a regional metering program across Victoria. This field-based role requires travel with overnight stays; you will operate a fully equipped vehicle and perform metering tasks in accordance with procedures.

You will record data via a mobile app, maintain installation records, and deliver reliable customer service while upholding OH&S standards. A valid licence, Blue Card, Police Check, and red/white card are required.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hand tools.
• Willing to travel across Victoria; overnight stays may be required.

• Reliable, punctual and able to meet deadlines.

Responsabilités

Lots of working away from home and overnighters in and around Victoria, so you must be prepared for travel, accommodation paid for and LAFHA paid tax free to you. You can be based out of Ballarat or Melbourne as long as you’re prepared for the travel both West and East Regional Victoria.

New Plumbing Solutions is building our team of Water Metering Technicians for our Regional Metering and Connections project – and we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Be Doing – A Day in the Life

This is a field-based role:

• Start your day by checking your schedule
• Head out to site in your fully equipped work vehicle
• Perform field metering activities including Installing/replacing meters, installing/replacing data loggers and completing metering investigations
• Accurately record meter specifications and site data using a mobile app
• Log each completed job on our mobile app before moving to the next

Key Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

• Water Meter replacement & assembly maintenance.
• Follow correct replacement procedures.
• Customer Service – face to face and phone
• Perform tasks within budgets and time frames
• Communicate regularly with office support team
• Maintain accurate and timely digital job installation records
• Ensure that all tasks are performed in a manner consistent with state and company OH&S policies and procedures.
• Work independently day to day and to a schedule

About You

We are looking for reliable and dedicated individuals to help us on our ongoing project. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Strong mechanical aptitude – proficient with hand tools.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic with a willingness to learn
• An aptitude for problem solving
• Attention to detail – Data Accuracy is a MUST!
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of meeting deadlines
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work under supervision both individually and occasionally in a team setting.
• Able to do a lot of bending, squatting and walking (moderate degree of physical fitness)
• Ability to work in most weather conditions.
• Flexible and comfortable with daily travel
• A current driver's licence
• Blue Card & Police Check
• A red/white card
