Job summary

Laminex is seeking a motivated Merchandiser to join our Victorian Sales team, covering primarily the East Melbourne area. In this field-based role, you will ensure Laminex products and displays are presented to the highest standard across our network of customers, including building supply merchants, trade outlets and retail partners.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will install displays, conduct store visits, and provide market feedback to drive sales growth.

Qualifications

• Previous merchandising or field-sales experience.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and use mobile reporting tools.
• Current Australian driver’s licence and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update Laminex display stands, sample boards and point-of-sale material.
• Install new displays and promotional materials at customer locations.
• Conduct regular store visits and audits to ensure merchandising standards.
• Build relationships with branch managers, store teams and sales reps.
• Identify opportunities to improve product visibility and customer engagement.
• Manage stock levels of merchandising materials and samples.
• Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to the sales team.
• Maintain visit records and reporting in company systems.

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Merchandiser to join our Victorian Sales team, covering primarily the East Melbourne area. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for ensuring Laminex products and displays are presented to the highest standard across our network of customers, including building supply merchants, trade outlets and retail partners.

About the Role
As a Merchandiser, you'll be the face of the Laminex brand within customer locations. You'll build strong relationships with customer teams, ensure merchandising standards are maintained and support sales growth by creating engaging product displays and maintaining product availability. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining and updating Laminex display stands, sample boards and point-of-sale material.
• Installing new displays and promotional materials within customer locations.
• Conducting regular store visits and audits to ensure merchandising standards are met.
• Building effective relationships with branch managers, store teams and sales representatives.
• Identifying opportunities to improve product visibility and customer engagement.
• Managing stock levels of merchandising materials and samples.
• Providing market intelligence and customer feedback to the broader sales team.
• Maintaining accurate visit records and reporting through company systems.

About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in presentation and can build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will ideally bring:

• Previous experience in merchandising, field sales, retail operations or customer-facing roles.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, with a high level of initiative and the ability to work autonomously.
• Confidence using mobile technology and reporting systems.
• A current Australian driver's licence and a safe driving record. Comfortable driving a Mercedes van.
• Experience within building products, trade, hardware, construction materials, FMCG or related industries will be highly regarded but is not essential.
