Job summary

Are Media, a leading omnichannel content company in Australia, is recruiting for an entry-level Merchandise Product Coordinator within Are Direct. This role offers hands-on exposure to private‑label development, range planning and supplier coordination as you learn the buying process from sourcing to market.

You’ll support Head Buyer and teams across Buying, Marketing and Operations, coordinating product data, timelines and launches while building commercial acumen in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Around a year of experience in a commercial, retail, wholesale, customer service or office environment.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to keep multiple products, samples, deadlines and stakeholders moving at once.
• Confidence working with numbers and information, including Excel and reporting, with an interest in analysing sales, trends and product performance.
• Proactive, collaborative approach and strong communication skills; keen to learn buying processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate product development across private‑label and exclusive ranges, managing samples, product information, range plans, approvals and launch timelines from concept through to market.
• Work with overseas suppliers, factories and sourcing agents to coordinate quotations, specifications, samples, production timelines and orders.
• Support commercial decision‑making through sales reporting, trend and competitor analysis and range planning.
• Bring new products to market by coordinating product data, testing and QA documentation, packaging and imagery, and working with Marketing, Ecommerce, Operations, Freight and inventory teams.
