Job summary

Are Media is seeking an entry-level Merchandise Product Coordinator within Are Direct’s buying team, based in Sydney. You will support the development of private-label and exclusive product ranges, coordinating with Head Buyer and cross-functional teams to bring products from idea through development to market.

You'll gain hands-on experience with overseas suppliers, range planning, supplier coordination, and sales analysis, while learning the buying process from the ground up in a commercially

Qualifications

• Approximately one year of experience in a commercial, retail, wholesale, customer service or office environment.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to keep multiple products, samples, deadlines and stakeholders moving at once.
• Confidence working with numbers and information, including Excel and reporting, with an interest in analysing sales, trends and product performance.
• A proactive, collaborative approach and strong communication skills; you’re comfortable following things up, building relationships and, most importantly, keen to learn.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate product development across private-label and exclusive ranges, managing samples, product information, range plans, approvals and launch timelines from concept through to market.
• Work with overseas suppliers, factories and sourcing agents to coordinate quotations, specifications, samples, production timelines and orders, building your knowledge of international sourcing along the way.
• Support commercial decision‑making through sales reporting, trend and competitor analysis and range planning.
• Bring new products to market by coordinating product data, testing and QA documentation, packaging and imagery, and working across Marketing, Ecommerce, Operations, Freight and inventory teams to ensure everything is ready for launch.
