Job summary

BMD is delivering the Eastern Freeway Upgrades in Melbourne as part of the TSA alliance, with a Site Engineer role focusing on ITS and civil infrastructure. You will report to the Project Manager and contribute across planning, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning.

The role requires a Civil/Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics or related engineering degree and prior experience on large infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
Experience on major infrastructure, transport or civil construction projects.
Exposure to ITS, electrical infrastructure, CCTV, VMS, fibre networks or related tech.
Ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage construction delivery.
Strong quality assurance and engineering documentation understanding.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

Coordinate ITS and civil construction activities safely and per specs.
Plan and sequence construction activities to meet milestones.
Prepare methodologies, work packs, ITPs, permits, and submissions.
Manage subcontractors and suppliers to meet quality and performance targets.
Coordinate testing, commissioning and handover for ITS systems.
Monitor project cost, productivity, quality and safety while handling queries and interfaces.
