Gateway Health in Wodonga is seeking a part-time counsellor to provide assessment, counselling and outreach to men who use family and domestic violence, with a strong focus on accountability and safety of women and children.

The role delivers individual and group interventions, with secondary consultation to the Domestic and Family Violence team and is anchored in feminist frameworks and gendered violence understanding.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or related disciplines.
• Knowledge and understanding in family domestic violence service and extensive experience in case management.
• Ability to provide group facilitation.
• Knowledge and/or experience in early intervention and prevention program services.
• The ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, counselling and outreach to men who use family and domestic violence.
• Deliver one-on-one and group interventions.
• Provide secondary consultation to the Domestic and Family Violence team.
