Job summary

Gateway Health in Northeast Victoria is seeking a part-time position based in Wodonga to provide assessment, counselling, outreach and group facilitation for men who use family and domestic violence, with a strong emphasis on accountability and safety for women and children.

The role involves engaging men to increase readiness for behaviour change, delivering interventions, and offering secondary consultation to the Domestic and Family Violence team within a feminist framework.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or other related disciplines.
• Knowledge and understanding in family domestic violence service and extensive experience in case management.
• Ability to provide group facilitation.
• Knowledge and/or experience in early intervention and prevention program services.
• The ability to work autonomously.

About the Role

This is a rewarding part-time opportunity (60.8 – 68.4 hours per fortnight) based in Wodonga, providing assessment, counselling, outreach and group facilitation to men who use family and domestic violence, with a strong focus on accountability and the safety of women and children.

This role engages men to increase their readiness to participate in behaviour change programs, delivers one-on-one and group interventions, and provides secondary consultation to the Domestic and Family Violence team. The role is grounded in an intersectional feminist framework and a strong understanding of the gendered nature of family violence.

This role is classified under the Community Health Centre (Stand Alone Services) Social and Community Service Employees (SACS) Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022 level 4 or 5 ($46.70 – $55.84 + superannuation)
