You will take a proactive approach to identifying prospective members, visiting existing members and understanding the challenges and opportunities facing road freight businesses across the region.

From owner-operators and small transport businesses to larger fleet operators and supply chain partners, you will help businesses understand the value of QTA membership and how the Association can support their interests.

You will also play an important role in bringing regional industry issues and opportunities back to the QTA team, helping ensure our advocacy, services and engagement remain relevant to members across Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support membership enquiries, onboarding, renewals and retention.
  • Develop strong, ongoing relationships with existing members.
Regional Member Engagement
  • Undertake regular regional visits, meetings and follow-up with members and prospective members.
  • Understand the operating environments and challenges facing regional transport businesses.
  • Identify emerging industry issues relating to infrastructure, access, permits, compliance, workforce and operating conditions.
  • Ensure member feedback is captured, communicated and followed through appropriately.
Industry Representation and Events
  • Represent QTA professionally at regional industry meetings, networking opportunities and events.
  • Support the promotion and delivery of regional forums, business dinners and information sessions.
  • Build relationships with regional industry groups, business networks and key stakeholders.
  • Create opportunities for QTA leadership and specialist teams to engage directly with regional members.
Administration and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of member and prospect engagement in QTA's CRM.
  • Track membership opportunities, interactions and follow-up activities.
  • Provide regular updates on regional engagement, membership growth and industry feedback.
About You

You are a confident communicator and natural networker who enjoys building trust and developing long-term business relationships.

You understand that successful business development is about more than making a sale. It is about listening, understanding business needs, delivering value and following through on commitments.

You will ideally bring:
