Job summary

Gough Recruitment is assisting a well-established Melbourne commercial construction firm to find an experienced Project Manager. The role focuses on delivering large-scale commercial projects from inception to handover, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and within budget.

You will lead site teams, manage procurement, contracts and stakeholder relationships to achieve high-quality outcomes. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in Australian commercial construction, experience as Contract

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience in Australian commercial construction.
• 2–3+ years' experience as a Contract Administrator before PM.
• Proven experience delivering commercial construction projects as PM.
• Strong commercial acumen with contracts, procurement, variations and cost management.
• Ability to manage projects from start to finish with budget, programme and quality accountability.
• Leadership capabilities to manage site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from pre-construction through practical completion and handover.
• Oversee budgets, cost reporting, forecasting and commercial performance.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, contracts, variations and progress claims.
• Coordinate programmes, resources and project deliverables.
• Collaborate with Site Managers, Contract Administrators and consultants.
• Maintain relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project risks and delivery challenges.
• Ensure safety, quality and compliance requirements are met.
