Job summary

Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Medical Workforce Coordinator to manage day‑to‑day administrative and workforce needs of medical staff across Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals. You will guide managers, support the JMO Manager and help ensure processes are accurate, timely and compliant.

The role involves coordinating rosters, leave, timesheets and pay enquiries, overseeing weekly rosters and supporting recruitment, onboarding and terminations for junior and senior medical

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of Medical Workforce recruitment processes, with ability to interpret relevant legislation, policy, Awards and agreements.
• Ability to work independently in a high‑volume, demanding environment with strong organisation and deadline skills.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation and interpersonal abilities to build trust with key business partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medical workforce matters including rosters, leave, timesheets, pay enquiries and appointments.
• Oversee publication and distribution of JMO and hospital weekly rosters, including senior medical roster updates.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, orientation and termination processes for junior and senior medical staff and locums.
• Provide advice to managers on medical workforce processes, awards, agreements, policies and relevant legislation.
• Supervise and support Medical Workforce Unit staff as required and manage workforce enquiries.
