Job summary

Compass Immunology Clinics is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our Brisbane team. This patient-facing role supports front-of-house operations in a busy specialist clinic, delivering warm patient service and accurate administrative tasks.

You will manage bookings, billing across Medicare/health funds, maintain patient records, and assist clinical staff. A collaborative approach and attention to detail are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

• Accurately manage patient bookings, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations
• Process billing for Medicare, DVA, health funds, and private accounts
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely data entry
• Respond to patient and healthcare provider enquiries (in person, phone, and email)
• Support clinical staff by ensuring front-of-house processes run smoothly
• Uphold privacy and confidentiality at all times

Permanent | Full-Time | Brisbane

$30 - $36 per hour + super, depending on experience and the position appointed

Compass Immunology Clinics is Queensland's largest private allergy and immunology specialist clinic, with locations across Brisbane and Toowoomba.

As our clinics continue to grow, we’re looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our team.

This is a patient-facing position suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a supportive team, takes pride in providing excellent patient service, and is confident managing the pace and detail of a specialist medical environment.

Full-time roster: Monday - Friday between 7:00am - 6:00pm, plus one rotating Tuesday late shift (to 8:30pm).

About the Roles

About You

You're organised, reliable and will be confident working in a specialist medical environment. You have strong attention to detail, communicate well with patients and colleagues, and enjoy being part of a team where everyone contributes.

Ideally, you will bring:

• Previous experience in medical reception/administration (specialist clinic experience highly regarded)
• Experience using Best Practice Premier strongly preferred
• A high level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-first approach
• Confidence managing competing priorities
• A collaborative, team-focused mindset and willingness to support across sites
