Job summary

Family Care Medical Centre in Mount Waverley, Melbourne, seeks an experienced medical receptionist to join our busy team. You will handle front desk duties, patient check-in, triage, and correspondence, under the guidance of the Practice Manager.

The role requires solid experience, familiarity with Best Practice Software, Medicare billing, and the ability to work independently or with others. Morning or afternoon shifts and relief cover may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of medical reception experience.
• Experience with Medicare Billing, DVA, TAC/Workcover is preferred.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and triage patients and manage check-in.
• Answer calls, faxes, and emails promptly.
• Book, reschedule, cancel and follow up appointments.
• Process patient invoicing and receipts.
• Open/close clinic and oversee daily banking and batches.
• Perform other receptionist and administrative duties as required.
