Job summary

DiagnostiCare, part of Imaging Associates Group, Keilor East, Melbourne, is seeking a Medical Imaging Receptionist to join us full time. You will be the first point of contact, delivering compassionate care while managing appointments and payments.

Work alongside radiologists and technologists to ensure smooth operations, confidentiality, and accurate records. The role offers development within a growing, patient-centered imaging network.

Qualifications

• Previous medical reception experience with radiology is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent telephone and in-person communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to learn practice management software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Answering phone calls and booking appointments
• Supporting radiologists and medical staff including Medical Imaging Technologists and referring practitioners
• Patient billing, Medicare and EFT payments
• Confidentiality and management of patient records
• Maintaining a clean and organised practice

About the role

We are in search ofMedical Imaging Receptionistto join us full time as an integral part of the practice.

As the first point of contact, you’ll take great pride in the care and compassion you show to patients, along with the quality of the work you do. By drawing on your professionalism and friendly nature, you’ll put patients at ease, guiding them through their visit to the practice while contributing to the smooth operation of the practice.

With state-of-the-art equipment, our dedicated staff takes pride in the standard of personalised healthcare that we deliver.

Key responsibilities include:

• Answering phone calls and booking appointments
• Supporting a range of medical staff including Radiologists, Medical Imaging Technologists and referring practitioners and their associates
• Patient billing, cash handling, Medicare and EFT payments
• Confidentiality and management of patient records
• Maintaining a clean and organised practice

What are we looking for?

• Exceptional customer service skills and communication skills
• The ability and willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and computer literacy skills
• The ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy
• Flexibility to work different shifts during the week between the operational hours of 7:30am and 8pm Mon to Fri, and 8am to 1pm Saturdays
• Previous medical reception experience with radiology experience (strongly regarded but not essential)
