Job summary

Queensland Physio Group – Mermaid Waters on the Gold Coast is seeking a friendly, organised and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our busy clinic. This casual/part-time role offers 3–4 days per week in a modern facility with five private treatment rooms and a rehabilitation gym.

You’ll be the first point of contact for patients, handle reception duties, answer inquiries, schedule appointments, process payments and health fund claims, and support our physiotherapists with day-to-day

Queensland Physio Group is looking for a friendly, organised and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our team at our busy Mermaid Waters clinic.

We’re a growing Gold Coast physiotherapy group with a strong reputation for high-quality care, sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, and a supportive team culture.

Our Mermaid Waters clinic is a modern, purpose-built facility with five private treatment rooms and a dedicated rehabilitation gym. You’ll work alongside a vibrant, friendly and social team treating a diverse patient base, from the general community through to competitive and elite athletes.

About the Role

As one of the first points of contact for our patients, you’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming and professional clinic experience.

• Greeting patients and managing reception
• Answering phone and email enquiries
• Scheduling and managing patient appointments
• Processing payments and health fund claims
• General administration and data entry
• Supporting our physiotherapists and wider team with day-to-day clinic operations

What We’re Looking For

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A warm, friendly and professional manner
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• Confidence with computers and learning new systems
• The ability to multitask in a busy environment
• Reliability, initiative and a positive attitude
• Previous medical, allied health or reception experience is highly regarded, but not essential for the right person
