Job summary

Imaging Queensland, part of Integral Diagnostics (IDX), invites you to join our busy front desk team across Deception Bay and Margate. This full-time Medical Receptionist role features a 9-day fortnight, Monday to Friday, 8.00am–5.00pm, with no weekends.

You will deliver outstanding customer service for patients attending X-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI services, requiring welcoming communication and medical terminology proficiency.

Qualifications

• Medical, Dental, Allied Health Care, Hospital or Radiology front desk experience highly regarded.
• Aptitude for understanding medical terminology.
• Bookings system knowledge and strong computer skills.
• Excellent presentation and a high level of communication and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients at the front desk and manage first impressions.
• Schedule radiology appointments for patients.
• Process cash, Medicare and health fund payments and patient accounts.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in training sessions.
• Comply with workplace policies and safety standards in the Radiology Department.
• Liaise with referrers, doctors and patients to deliver results.

About The Role

Imaging Queensland has the opportunity for a motivated Medical Receptionist to join our busy front desk. Working across our Imaging Queensland clinics in Deception Bay and Margate. You will deliver outstanding customer service for patients wishing to book and attend appointments that include X-ray, Ultrasound to CT and MRI services.

This is a full-time position working a 9-day fortnight Monday to Friday rostered between the hours 8.00am-5.00pm. No weekends!

What a Day Looks Like

• First impression of the practice as you meet and greet patients at the front desk.
• Schedule radiology appointments for patients
• Cash handling and patient account processing to include Medicare and Health funds
• Attend staff meetings and participate in company training sessions
• Comply with procedures, policies, regulations and standards which impact upon the position and the Radiology Department, such as workplace health and safety, and other HR policies.
• Liaise with referrers, doctors, patients for delivery of patient medical results

About You

• Medical, Dental, Allied Health Care, Hospital or Radiology, Medical Imaging experience in front desk highly regarded
• Aptitude for understanding medical terminology
• Bookings system knowledge and strong computer skills
• Excellent presentation, a high level of communication and patient care skills - be welcoming and friendly!
