Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Medical Equipment Engineering Supervisor to lead the Equipment Engineering section from Wakefield. You will support the Medical Devices Management Team in the strategic management and development of a safe, high-quality medical equipment service across the Trust.

You will collaborate with the Medical Devices Manager to ensure compliance with MHRA guidance, statutory requirements, and technical standards, driving continuous service

Qualifications

• Leadership and people management skills.
• Understanding of medical device regulations and MHRA guidance.
• Strategic thinking and service development experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership and day-to-day management of the Equipment Engineering section.
• Support operational and strategic management of the Medical Devices Management Department.
• Ensure policies and SOPs are implemented and maintained.
• Lead on incident reporting and liaise with Safety/Risk teams regarding MHRA safety alerts.
• Oversee procurement, maintenance, and lifecycle management of medical devices.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and technical standards.
