Allina Health is seeking an attentive Medical Assistant to support providers and nursing staff across multiple sites. You will room patients, manage flow, collect data, assist with injections and procedures, and help with front desk tasks as needed.

The role requires basic medical knowledge, 18+ years old, and a CMA certification or equivalent training. BLS certification is preferred or in-house training within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience to meet required competencies.
• Non-Certified Applicants with less than six months of Medical Assistant experience must have graduated from an accredited school with a clinical externship.
• Preferred: Previous Medical Assistant experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Licenses: BLS from AHA/Red Cross or in-house training; CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, manages patient flow and collects medical information.
• Performs patient care tasks as delegated; may perform injections and assist with procedures.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness; reports risks and malfunctions; assists with front desk as needed.
• Contributes to patient transportation and coordination of test results with providers.
