Job summary

CentroMed is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to support physicians in physical examinations, nursing procedures, and patient care across our clinics. You will follow policy to maintain safety, accuracy of records, and positive patient interactions.

The role requires completion of a Medical Assisting program and High School diploma, with preferred 1 year clinic experience. Travel to multiple Centro Del Barrio sites may be required, offering a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with completion of Medical Assisting program.
• 1 year experience in a clinic or hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Intake: record patient history, vital signs, symptoms and document in chart.
• Administers immunizations following protocols and provider instructions.
• Administers medications and treatments as ordered by the provider.
• Ensures equipment is properly functioning and stocks supplies.
• Supports lab duties: QC, specimen processing, and infection control per guidelines.
• Travels to Centro Del Barrio sites as needed to carry out duties.
• Assists the provider in examinations and procedures as directed.
• Maintains inventory for the supply room and assists nursing supervisor.
