Job summary

Australian Community Media (ACM) is seeking a local Media Sales Consultant to connect regional businesses with our print and digital platforms, including The Irrigator and ACM mastheads. You will build new customer relationships, consult on marketing strategies, and manage accounts to drive regional revenue.

Deliver targeted multi-channel pitches, maintain a robust pipeline, and collaborate with local business groups.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with face-to-face sales and converting leads.
• A current, valid driver’s license and a well-maintained vehicle.
• Strong solution-selling ability and comfortable using digital tools (Google Workspace, CRMs).
• Tertiary qualifications in business or marketing; local industry contacts desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, cold call, and network to build a pipeline of new business.
• Meet weekly with local business owners to analyse marketing needs and present multi-channel pitches.
• Consolidate print revenue while driving digital revenue growth across local mastheads.
• Engage with local business organisations to build community rapport.
• Maintain sales pipeline, client intel, and daily activity in the CRM.

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity exists to work with The Irrigator and ACM to achieve all of the above as a local Media Sales Consultant.

You will be responsible for connecting local businesses with their target audience through our trusted print and digital platforms. You will proactively build new customer relationships, consult on marketing strategies, and manage accounts to drive regional revenue.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prospect, cold call, and network across local arean and footprint to build a robust pipeline of new business.
• Meet weekly with local business owners to analyse their marketing needs and present solution-based multi-channel pitches.
• Consolidate print advertising revenue while actively driving digital revenue growth across local mastheads.
• Actively engage with local business organisations to build community rapport.
• Maintain accurate sales pipelines, client intel, and daily activity tracking in the CRM

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience with face-to-face sales with a track record of converting leads, negotiating, and hitting revenue targets.
• A current, valid driver’s license and a well-maintained vehicle (supported by a vehicle allowance).
• Strong solution-selling ability and comfortable using digital tools (Google Workspace, CRMs).
• Tertiary qualifications in business or marketing, along with existing local industry contacts is highly desirable.
