Job summary

Finder is seeking a media relations professional to join the PR team for 12 months, reporting to the Head of PR & Insights. You will pitch stories daily, convert Finder data into headlines, and build strong relationships with journalists, producers and influencers across news, TV, radio and digital.

You'll manage daily press outreach, write 2-3 releases per week, respond to inquiries, keep the media list up to date, and help shape research findings into compelling releases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in media relations, in-house or agency.
• Established relationships with Australian media.
• Strong writing with original copy.
• Detail-oriented with tight deadlines.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders.
• PR/journalism/communications degree or equivalent.
• Proactive, can-do team player.

Responsibilities

• Pitch stories daily to Australian media, from first pitch through follow-up.
• Write, review and schedule 2-3 media releases weekly.
• Fact-check pitches and select outlets/journalists.
• Respond to 20-40 media enquiries monthly with the team.
• Maintain media list using Telum and sources.
• Shape questions for Consumer Sentiment Tracker and Finder Cash Rate survey, turning findings into releases.
• Coordinate Finder Awards media releases and support 2027 awards event.
• Assist with social and video content, including on-camera opportunities.
• Publish consumer and corporate news releases on finder.com.au.
• Track and report coverage in top-tier and online media.
