Our Workshop in Molendinar, QLD is seeking an experienced Mechanical Workshop Controller/Manager to lead daily operations, coordinate scheduling, and drive quality and efficiency in a busy automotive workshop.

This full-time, five-day-per-week role requires strong leadership, hands-on mechanical knowledge, and the ability to manage staff, safety compliance, and customer communications.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems, diagnostics and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all mechanical workshop operations, including scheduling, workflow management and resource allocation.
• Manage and supervise workshop mechanics.
• Ensure all work meets high quality standards and safety regulations.
• Conduct quality inspections on completed vehicles and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain detailed records for invoicing and reporting.
• Liaise with customers regarding repairs, maintenance requirements and quotations.
• Manage inventory on spare parts and improve stock control.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Resolve issues professionally and adapt to changing workloads.

Seeking an experienced Mechanical Workshop Controller/Manager to join our team in Molendinar, QLD. This is a full-time 5 day week position that plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our automotive workshop. As Workshop Controller/Manager, you will oversee all mechanical operations, ensure quality standards are maintained, manage staff effectively, and drive efficiency across the workshop. This role is essential to our business success and directly impacts customer satisfaction, profitability, and team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all mechanical workshop operations, including scheduling, workflow management and resource allocation

• Proven experience working in an automotive workshop environment, ideally as a Mechanic

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency with workshop management software and computer systems
• Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to automotive workshops
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
• A commitment to maintaining high quality standards and customer service
• Certifications in automotive mechanics, Air Conditioner licence and RWC Licence
• Valid driver's licence including HR
