Job summary

RM Watson in NSW is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join their remedial services team. The role involves maintenance on a range of vehicle and equipment, repairs, and developing maintenance plans to prevent costly breakdowns.

You should hold a Mechanical Technician trade qualification or equivalent, have strong diagnostic skills and be capable of working independently or in a team, with good communication. Salary ranges from $79,499 to $82,000 plus super.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Technician or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Repair and replace worn parts and reassemble components.
• Develop and implement maintenance plans to prevent breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions and test repaired parts.
• Maintain service and inspection documentation.
• Assist with roadworthiness inspections as required.
• Respond to breakdown service calls.
• Maintain a tidy, safe work environment.
