Job summary

RM Watson in NSW is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join their remedial services team. The role involves maintenance on a range of vehicle and equipment, repairs, and developing maintenance plans to prevent costly breakdowns.

You should hold a Mechanical Technician trade qualification or equivalent, have strong diagnostic skills and be capable of working independently or in a team, with good communication. Salary ranges from $79,499 to $82,000 plus super.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance on vehicles and equipment.

• Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions and test repaired parts.
• Maintain service and inspection documentation.
• Assist with roadworthiness inspections as required.
• Respond to breakdown service calls.
• Maintain a tidy, safe work environment.

They offer a comprehensive range of services; from Concrete & Magnesite Repairs to Balcony Refurbishment, Waterproofing & Facade Coatings, plus much more. An opportunity exists for a Mechanical Technician with an eye for detail, capable of multitasking and a drive to help improve the operation to join their team.

The role includes but is not limited to:

• Perform regular scheduled maintenance service on a range of vehicle or equipment
• Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts, and reassembling mechanical components referencing service manuals as needed
• Develop and implement mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns
• Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
• Complete and maintain service and inspection documentation ensuring its compliance
• May inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness
• May respond to vehicle or equipment breakdown service calls

Maintain a tidy work environment and adhering to health and safety regulations.
