Job summary

Metal Recovery Industries in Rockhampton, Queensland, is seeking qualified Mechanical Technicians to join their busy workshop. You will perform diagnostics, repairs and service of vehicles and equipment in both workshop and field settings, ensuring safety, roadworthiness and compliance.

Responsibilities include maintaining servicing records, stock control, and assisting apprentices while adhering to NHVAS procedures and WHS requirements.

Qualifications

• Qualified Mechanical Technicians with industry experience.
• Experience performing diagnostics, repairs and servicing in workshop and field.
• Knowledge of WHS policies and NHVAS procedures.

• Ensure vehicles, plant and equipment are safe, roadworthy, presentable and compliant; maintain servicing records.
• General workshop duties including stocktaking and assisting apprentices.

Our valued client Metal Recovery Industries based in Rockhampton Qld, is seeking qualified Mechanical Technicians with industry experience to work in their busy workshop

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform diagnostics, repairs and service of vehicles and equipment both in a workshop and field environment.

Ensure company vehicles, plant and equipment are at all times safe, roadworthy, presentable and compliant. Ensure that paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain records of scheduled servicing.

General workshop duties which will include stocktaking and cleaning. Strip, dismantle, clean, identify, store, and catalogue parts as required. Provide supervision and guidance/training to apprentice/s.

Work in accordance to NHVAS and company procedures. Other duties as may arise from time to time and as may be assigned to the employee. Maintain proper time keeping practices.

Work Health & Safety (WHS) Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Salary: Between $79,499 and $82,000 per annum + Super
