APA Group in Mount Isa invites applications for a four-year Mechanical Technician Apprentice (fitter). This full-time permanent opportunity provides hands-on work with skilled technicians and formal training at TAFE, aimed at delivering a national Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (fitting).

You will gain exposure to maintenance, service, troubleshooting, asset monitoring and improvement projects while working on critical energy infrastructure across Australia, with comprehensive

Responsibilities

• Assisting with planned and reactive maintenance, inspections and repairs across the region
• Learning to service, maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of equipment
• Supporting mechanical work under the guidance of qualified team members
• Monitoring the performance and operation of critical assets through routine inspections
• Assisting with equipment upgrades, replacements and improvement projects
• Maintaining easements and site facilities to a high standard
• Attending TAFE and successfully completing apprenticeship coursework
• Contributing to preventative and corrective maintenance activities
• Supporting job preparation, including organising tools, parts and operational documentation
• Assisting with the review and improvement of operational procedures and documentation
• Working safely and helping protect your teammates, the community and the environment
