Job summary

Orica is seeking a Technology Technician to deploy, operate and maintain AssayTrack systems across surface exploration and mining operations in Australia. The role is based in Perth (Welshpool) and includes equipment preparation, logistics and field work, with potential transition to site-based rosters as required.

You will support customers, collaborate with Orica's tech teams and uphold safety and reliability.

Qualifications

Current MR or HR Driver's Licence (or ability to obtain within an agreed timeframe).
Demonstrated mine site operational experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to obtain and maintain all required site inductions and access requirements.
Ability to obtain and maintain required radiation-related licences and authorisations.
Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
Willingness to undertake training in AssayTrack deployment and operation.

Responsibilities

Prepare, inspect, test and maintain AssayTrack equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Mobilise, operate and support AssayTrack systems at surface mining sites across Australia.
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to maximise equipment reliability.
Lead field activities, coordinate with site stakeholders and ensure safe, efficient operations.
Conduct quality assurance checks, maintain accurate records and ensure compliance requirements are met.
Provide technical support, customer training and mentoring while promoting safety and continuous improvement
