Job summary

Orica is seeking a Technical Services Engineer to join our Pilbara operations, with a preferred base in Perth. The role is hands-on and customer-facing, delivering advanced drill and blast support, including blast design and Electronic Blasting Systems (EBS).

You will work with site teams to improve blast outcomes, support mine operations across the Pilbara, and develop technical capability through hands-on learning and training. Regular travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in shotfiring, drill & blast, or mining operations.
• Understanding of blasting principles.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
• Open-cut experience beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of technical blasting projects that add value to customer operations.
• Assist with blast design and on-site technical support, including EBS systems.
• Work closely with customers and internal teams to coordinate and execute projects.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with site stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on blasting practices and product application.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across blasting operations.
• Actively develop your technical capability through training and practical experience.
