Job summary

CGC Recruitment is seeking experienced Mechanical/Structural Drafters for an established water storage tank manufacturer in St Marys, Sydney. You will create detailed mechanical and structural drawings and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks, supporting manufacture from design to production.

Multiple positions available, with seniority tailored to experience. Ideal candidates have SolidWorks experience and a strong understanding of engineering drawings, materials and manufacturing processes.

Join a Growing Water Storage Tank Manufacturing Business

Due to recent business growth, we are seeking multiple experienced Mechanical and Structural Drafters to join an established manufacturing operation based in St Marys, Sydney. These are excellent opportunities for hands-on drafters with SolidWorks experience who enjoy producing detailed engineering drawings and working on practical manufacturing projects. Multiple positions are available, with responsibilities and seniority tailored to suit each candidate's experience.

The Opportunity

Working within a water storage tank manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for preparing and developing mechanical and structural drawings to support the manufacturing process.

• Preparing detailed mechanical and structural drawings using SolidWorks.
• Developing manufacturing and fabrication drawings.
• Interpreting technical specifications and design requirements.
• Working closely with engineering, production and manufacturing teams.
• Ensuring drawings are accurate, practical and suitable for manufacture.
• Supporting the delivery of projects from design through to production.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience in mechanical and/or structural drafting.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Experience preparing fabrication or manufacturing drawings.
• A practical understanding of engineering drawings, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work within a production-focused environment.

An engineering degree is not required. We are particularly interested in candidates with relevant drafting experience and strong SolidWorks skills.
