Job summary

Maintenance Systems Solutions Pty Ltd in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Mechanical Planner to support long-term shutdown maintenance planning for process plant operations. Based in Brisbane, you will work closely with the Shutdown Lead Planner to plan, coordinate and control shutdown requirements, ensuring CMMS work orders are clearly defined for safe execution.

The role focuses on developing mechanical shutdown work packs, coordinating materials and labour estimates, and ensuring readiness

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance or turnaround planning.
• Strong CMMS experience with clear work order definitions.
• Experience developing detailed mechanical shutdown work packs.
• Ability to coordinate shutdown activities and site setup.
• Focus on safe, cost-effective planning in plant environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support mechanical shutdown work packs, including materials, labour estimates, scaffold, cladding, cleaning requirements and photos
• Coordinate maintenance work activities to align planning with the shutdown schedule
• Review and prepare shutdown maintenance lists, reserve materials and initiate purchase requisitions
• Support shutdown site set-up, including tooling, safety containers, amenities, site buildings and specialist equipment
• Provide progress updates to the Shutdown Lead Planner and relevant stakeholders
• Support shutdown close-out, including work order completion, lessons learnt and CMMS archiving
