Job summary

Global Engineering and Construction is seeking a Mechanical Project Supervisor to lead trades teams on dynamic mechanical projects in the Chinchilla region. This hands-on leadership role requires delivering safe, on-budget, on-time outcomes while coordinating contractors and resources.

Ideal candidates hold a mechanical trade qualification, have prior supervision of heavy industry crews, and demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade qualification (Fitter, Boilermaker or similar).
• Experience supervising mechanical or heavy industry crews.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to mentor teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a site-based environment.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Experience in mining, energy, oil & gas, or industrial services highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise mechanical trades teams across maintenance and project scopes.
• Deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Coordinate daily site activities, contractors, materials, and resources.
• Drive a strong safety-first culture and ensure compliance across all works.
• Build and maintain positive client and stakeholder relationships onsite.
• Monitor project progress, provide reporting updates, and identify improvement opportunities.
