Job summary

Global Engineering and Construction in Chinchilla, QLD, is seeking a Projects Superintendent to lead mechanical maintenance across multiple projects. You’ll split time between site leadership and front-end planning, ensuring delivery to scope, budget and schedule while maintaining client relationships.

Ideal candidates will have superintendent-level experience in heavy industries, strong HSE/QA knowledge and a track record of driving safe, efficient project outcomes in oil & gas, mining or

Qualifications

• Mechanical fitting or maintenance background required.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project or maintenance teams.
• Superintendent-level experience or senior supervisor capable to step up.
• Strong understanding of project costs, budgets and labour planning.
• Experience in oil & gas, resources, mining or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of HSE, QA, ITPs and project documentation.
• Ability to communicate with clients and stakeholders.
• Solutions-focused leadership with ownership.

Responsibilities

• Take operational ownership of mechanical projects from mobilisation through to completion.
• Lead, mentor and develop Supervisors, Leads and field teams.
• Manage project budgets, labour, schedules and resources.
• Deliver work per ITPs, specifications and client requirements.
• Identify and proactively manage risks (project, commercial, operational).
• Ensure hold points, inspections, QA documentation and sign-offs.
• Maintain HSE and quality standards throughout project delivery.
• Act as key interface between MFE and clients during execution.
• Build long-term client relationships and identify future work.
• Drive continuous improvement across delivery, systems and processes.
• Support tendering, quoting and front-end planning where technical value adds.
