Job summary

MCA Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer for our Australian mining, industrial and construction projects. You will translate project specs, permits and drawings into work packs and execution plans, support planning, scheduling and on-site delivery while upholding safety and quality standards.

You'll liaise with engineers, site supervisors and contractors, monitor progress, inspect sites, manage documentation and change controls, and contribute to project meetings.

Qualifications

• Requires tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years' experience in mechanical project engineering within mining, industrial SMP or construction environments.
• Experience delivering mechanical installation, maintenance or shutdown projects.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Translate project specs, permits, and drawings into work packs and execution plans.
• Monitor site progress, identify and resolve technical issues.
• Liaise with engineers, site supervisors, and contractors to ensure design and safety compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and report on milestones and variations.
• Assist with technical documentation, risk assessments, and change management.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and contribute to project meetings.
• Implement and manage quality assurance processes.
