Job summary

Kerman Contracting Pty Ltd (Kerman) is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Head Office team in Western Australia. You will coordinate technical activities on assigned projects, participate in planning, scheduling, and coordinating Non-Process Infrastructure projects, and liaise with vendors and contractors to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and 3+ years in construction, with experience in multi-discipline projects and collaboration with

• Relevant mechanical engineering background and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct and coordinate the project technical and management aspects.
• Work with management and scheduler to streamline schedules and coordinate engineering activities.
• Resolve mechanical issues with onsite and offsite project teams.
• Participate in client/contractor meetings and resolve client/engineering issues.
• Coordinate collection and dissemination of technical information between the company, contractors and clients.
• Liaise with vendors and contractors to achieve on-time results and ensure timely responses.
• Review design drawings to identify problems and propose solutions.
• Assist in preparing mechanical designs, drawings, plans and specifications.

This role will see you coordinating all technical activities on assigned projects and participate in planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating Non-Process Infrastructure projects.

Roles, Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, conducting and coordinating the project technical and management aspects.
• Work closely with the Management team and project scheduler to streamline schedule and coordinate engineering activities.
• Resolves mechanically related technical issues in collaboration with onsite and offsite project teams.
• Participating in Client/Contractor meetings and resolving Client/engineering and technical issues.
• Coordinate the collection and dissemination of technical information between/within the company, other contractors and clients.
• Laise with vendors and contractors to achieve ‘on-time’ results, including following up with external suppliers to ensure timely responses to action items.
• Review Design Consultant's drawings to identify problems, recommend solutions, and take preventive steps for correction.
• Assists in preparing mechanical designs, drawings, plans and specifications for projects, engineered systems, technical equipment or components.

About You

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years’ experience in the Construction industry.
• Experience in working with multiple discipline projects.
