CrewSELECT Pty Ltd in Brisbane, Australia is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to support preventative maintenance, breakdowns and reliability improvements in a busy manufacturing environment.

Key duties include preventative maintenance, inspections and servicing; diagnosing faults; maintaining pumps, seals, conveyors and valves; and completing SAP work orders with safety compliance including respirator use.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably chemical.
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills.
• Experience with pumps, mechanical seals and alignment.
• SAP and MS Office skills; respirator requirements compliance.

Responsabilités

• Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections, servicing and equipment rebuilds.

CrewSELECT is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to support preventative maintenance, breakdowns, equipment repairs and reliability improvements in a busy manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections, servicing and equipment rebuilds
• Diagnose mechanical faults and respond to breakdowns
• Maintain pumps, mechanical seals, conveyors, mills, motors and valves
• Dismantle, unblock and reassemble pipework, pumps and dust collection equipment
• Complete maintenance records, SAP work orders and follow site safety procedures

Qualifications/Experience required

• Cert III Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent
• Manufacturing or chemical manufacturing experience
• Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills
• Experience with pumps, mechanical seals and alignment
• SAP/Microsoft Office skills and ability to comply with respirator requirements

What's on offer

• Monday–Friday, 6:30am–3:00pm
• Overtime available as required
• Initial 3-6 month assignment with potential for further work
• Hands‑on maintenance across a range of industrial equipment

Important: role may involve chemical residue exposure during maintenance, requiring full PPE and a respirator in hot conditions; candidates must be comfortable with these tasks and clean‑shaven where required for a proper respirator seal.
