Job summary

Dialog Fitzroy Ltd in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Mechanical Foreman to lead our Brisbane workshop team, with potential occasional travel to project sites. This hands-on leadership role suits an experienced tradesperson with expertise in structural steel fabrication, tank building, pipe fitting, and welding, who enjoys mentoring others and fostering a positive team.

You will play a key role in training and coaching the next generation of tradespeople while ensuring workmanship meets

Qualifications

• Hold relevant trade Diploma, Certificate or background; comparable to the Australian standard with 3 years relevant full-time trade experience.
• At least 5 years' leadership or similar experience.
• Extensive experience in structural steel fabrication and tank construction.
• Strong pipe fitting and welding experience, including weld inspection knowledge.
• Excellent understanding of welding procedures, welding standards, and quality requirements.
• Proven experience leading workshop teams or supervising tradespeople.
• Demonstrated ability to teach, train, and mentor apprentices and tradesmen.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.
