Job summary

CT Labour Hire is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to work on a shutdown in Narangba. Roles involve dismantling heavy machinery with oxy cutting and grinders, with a strong emphasis on safety. Expect a 4‑day week (6:30am–4:30pm) for 2–4 weeks, potentially moving to another site afterwards.

Prior trade qualification not required if you have substantial mechanical fitter experience. Candidates should be physically fit for constant manual labour and able to provide two referees.

• Physically fit for constant manual labour including lifting, kneeling and climbing.

Job description

CT Labour Hire & Recruitment offer tailored workforce solutions providing short & long term personnel to companies within Building & Construction, Electrical, Engineering, Warehousing and Manufacturing - Blue Collar and White Collar industries.

We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to work on a site shut down in Narangba. Machinery and equipment will need to be dismantled with a strong attention to safety. These are skilled roles and will require you to have experience doing similar work. This site is expected to take 2-4 weeks to complete shut down working a 4 day week, before moving to another site. You will be required to disassemble heavy duty machinery, oxy cutting and using tools like grinders for cutting bolts.

Full trade qualification is not required if you have substantial experience working as a Mechanical Fitter.

Pay rate based on trade and skills but for example Mechanical Fitter $55/hr + OT + daily travel allowance. Hours required are 6:30am-4:30pm Monday- Thursday, with the occasional Friday required.
