Job summary

JWS Industries in Western Australia is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for ongoing casual opportunities across shutdown and maintenance projects. You will engage in maintenance, installation and overhaul of fixed plant equipment, ensuring safety and quality across site operations.

Applicants must hold a Mechanical Fitter trade qualification, a valid driver's licence, and relevant safety certifications. Local candidates preferred; accommodation may be available.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter with relevant experience
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Valid Working at Heights certification (within 2 years)
• Valid Confined Space certification (within 2 years)
• Construction Induction Card (White or Blue Card)
• Ability to pass pre-employment and site medical testing

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, installation and overhaul of fixed plant equipment including pumps, compressors, conveyors, gearboxes, valves and hydraulic systems
• Execute preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance activities
• Complete shutdown and turnaround maintenance safely and efficiently
• Assist with plant upgrades, modifications and new equipment installations
• Work within refinery and industrial-process environments including high-risk areas
• Maintain strict compliance with site safety and quality procedures

About the Role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving critical plant equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, installation and overhaul of fixed plant equipment including pumps, compressors, conveyors, gearboxes, valves and hydraulic systems
