Sara Lee Australia is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the Maintenance Team at our Lisarow, NSW manufacturing site. The role is Monday to Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm with an monthly RDO and occasional coverage for afternoon or overnight shifts to keep production moving.

You will respond to breakdowns, perform fault finding, preventative maintenance and welding/fabrication to keep equipment running and improve reliability on conveyors, pumps and gearboxes.

Qualifications

• Australian Mechanical Fitting or equivalent trade qualification.
• Experience in manufacturing environment; FMCG preferred.
• Strong breakdown and fault-finding experience.
• Welding and fabrication skills.
• Experience with conveyors, pneumatics, pumps, gearboxes and bearings.
• TIG and/or purge welding desirable.
• Solutions-focused approach and strong safety focus.
• Right to work in Australia; pre-employment medical may be required.

If you know manufacturing, you know things don’t always go to plan. Machines break down, priorities change and production needs to keep moving. We’re looking for someone who enjoys that environment and knows how to get in, find the problem and get things running again.

This is a Monday to Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm position, with an additional RDO each month.

You’ll also need some flexibility to cover afternoon or overnight shifts when team members are on leave.

If fixing breakdowns is your bread and butter, this could be a pretty sweet move.

About You

You’ll ideally have:

• Australian Mechanical Fitting, Fitting & Turning or similar trade qualification

• Experience in a manufacturing environment – FMCG highly regarded

• Strong breakdown and fault-finding experience

• Welding and fabrication skills

• Experience with conveyors, pneumatics, pumps, gearboxes and bearings

• TIG and/or purge welding skills desirable

• A practical, solutions-focused approach

• Strong safety focus

What We Offer

• $48.21 per hour + $56.76 weekly tool allowance

• Monday to Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm
