Job summary

Paulger Engineering, based in Yandina on the Sunshine Coast, seeks a skilled mechanical fitter to assemble and install components on new truck builds. You will work with the fabrication team to fit hydraulics, pneumatics, cranes and accessories.

Ideal candidates have a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, 3+ years of fitting experience, and the ability to read drawings. A practical problem-solving approach and safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade required.
• At least three years of mechanical fitting experience.
• Ability to read drawings and follow job specifications.
• Practical approach to solving problems.
• Strong teamwork and commitment to safety.
• Experience with heavy vehicles, hydraulics, pneumatics or crane installations will be highly regarded.
• Eligible to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fit and install mechanical components on truck builds.

About the role

You'll work alongside our fabrication and fit-off team, assembling and installing mechanical components on new truck builds.

Key responsibilities

• Fitting, assembling and installing mechanical components
• Installing hydraulics, pneumatics, cranes and accessories
• Carrying out basic auto-electrical tasks
• Reading drawings and following job specifications
• Checking your work for quality and correct operation
• Supporting general workshop duties and maintaining a safe, organised workspace

About you

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade
• At least three years of mechanical fitting experience
• The ability to read drawings and follow job specifications
