Job summary

Paulger Engineering in Yandina is seeking an automotive electrician to install and test electrical systems on custom truck builds. You will wire 12V/24V circuits, fit lighting, inverters, dual batteries, trailer plugs, and electric brake controllers, and diagnose faults.

Reading wiring diagrams and following build instructions, you will perform functional testing before delivery, and assist with mechanical fit-off as required.

Qualifications

• Practical automotive electrical experience, ideally with trucks or heavy vehicles.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with other trades.
• Reliable approach and good attention to detail.
• Current driver's licence.
• Experience with hydraulics, PTOs or crane installations would be an advantage.

About the role

You’ll work alongside the fit-off team, installing and testing electrical systems on custom truck builds. You’ll install and wire 12V and 24V electrical systems, fit lighting, inverters, dual batteries, trailer plugs and electric brake controllers, wire PTOs, cranes and associated controls, diagnose and resolve electrical faults, read wiring diagrams and follow build instructions, complete functional testing and final electrical checks before delivery, and assist with mechanical fit-off where required.
