Job summary

Randstad is seeking a qualified Maintenance Fitter for ongoing work in Brooklyn, VIC. The role involves preventative maintenance and rapid response to breakdowns across pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics, with installation and shutdown project support.

We require 2+ years post-trade experience, a White Card, and a strong commitment to safe work practices. Flexible day, afternoon and night shifts, including Thursday-Monday weekends, are available.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter with 2+ years post-trade experience.
• Experience in food manufacturing or fast-paced industrial environments ideal.
• Safe work focus with White Card (Construction Induction) required.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventative mechanical maintenance and respond promptly to operational breakdowns.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Assist with machinery installations, modifications, fabrication and shutdown projects.
• Complete safety checks (TAKE 5) and adhere to lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and machinery documentation.
