Autocycle International is seeking a self-motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our newborn recycling facility in Stapylton, Queensland. This hands-on role operates on the afternoon shift and reports to the site manager.

The successful candidate will work 38 hours per week with overtime and penalties as required. Key duties include maintaining fixed and mobile plant, performing repairs, and ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualificações

• Experience in a similar position with relevant tickets.
• MIG and ARC welding and fabrication experience.
• EWP licence and experience.
• Ability to interpret technical documents (engineering drawings, operation manuals).
• Strong understanding of mechanical processes.
• Current High Risk Work Licence (preference for WP, DG, LF).
• Willingness to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.
• Driver's licence.

Responsabilidades

• Operate fixed and mobile plant and equipment (tyre shredders, granulators, forklifts, skid steers).
• Perform maintenance tasks including greasing and blade changes.
• Assess and prioritise breakdown service requirements.
• Complete paperwork and maintain maintenance logs accurately.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Planner & Team Leaders on strategy development.
• Assist production to meet quality specifications.
• Follow OHS policies and procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement in onsite processes.
• Work on afternoon shift 2pm-10pm, 5 days a week.

Duties & responsibilities:

• Operating fixed & mobile plant and equipment such as tyre shredders or granulators, forklifts, skid steer loaders, etc.
• Perform maintenance tasks including greasing, blade changes, inspections, etc.
• Assessing and prioritising breakdown service requirements
• Accurate and timely completion of paperwork & upkeep of equipment maintenance logs
• Work closely with Maintenance Planner & Team Leaders on strategy development, ensuring optimal plans are executed
• Assist the production processes to ensure that trade released product meets quality specifications
• Ensuring Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) policies and procedures are followed.
• Driving continuous improvement in our onsite processes
• working on afternoon shift 2pm-10pm, 5 days a week
