Job summary

Midfield Group in Warrnambool is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician to assist in mechanical equipment design, installation, testing and data analysis to meet specifications and regulations.

You will select tools and equipment, perform tests, maintain and inspect machines, and support production of high-quality animal protein products, with on-site perks including canteen, staff discounts and free parking.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field.
• Experience in mechanical design, testing and data collection.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Equipment selection and installation for mechanical assemblies and controls.
• Estimation of material costs and machine requirements; data collection and analysis.
• Perform and direct tests to validate designs and equipment performance.
