Job summary

Seno Engineering (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician to support CAD drafting, BOM creation, and procurement decisions for mechanical systems. The role involves producing detailed designs and drawings for manufacture, and performing hands-on testing and assembly on site.

Qualifications

• AQF Diploma/Advanced Diploma/Associate Degree with 1–2 years of experience in a similar position.
• High degree of drafting skills is required.
• Design drawings/execution is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD generated bill of materials for purchasing.
• Participate and decide on procurement of correct moving parts and piping materials.
• Estimate material costs and quantities, and machine requirements.
• Perform field and laboratory tests.
• Collect and analyse data, perform complex computations, and prepare diagrams.
• Produce concept designs through to detailed workshop drawings for manufacture.
• Prepare Skid designs to suit mechanical equipment.
• Prepare alternative designs to provide options to client.
• Prepare drawings, plans and designs for mechanical engineering work.
• Perform hands-on testing, installation and assembly of mechanical systems.
• Assist engineers in design, development, and improvement of mechanical systems and prototypes.
• Organise and supervise inspection and maintenance of machines and plant.
• Ensure designs and finished work meet specifications, regulations, and contract provisions.
