Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design, delivery and commissioning of electrical systems for the Wyaralong project in Australia. The role involves preparing electrical designs, drawings, calculations and specifications to comply with Australian Standards and project requirements.

You will coordinate with process, mechanical, civil and instrumentation disciplines and support procurement, construction and commissioning through to handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in electrical engineering on infrastructure or water projects.
• Working knowledge of Australian Standards and electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide input into switchboards, transformers, and cabling selections.

Job Description About the Opportunity As Electrical Engineer, you will support the design, delivery and commissioning of electrical systems across the Wyaralong project. You will prepare and review electrical designs, drawings, calculations and specifications, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and project requirements. You will coordinate closely with process, mechanical, civil, structural and instrumentation disciplines, provide technical input on switchboards, transformers, motors and cabling, and support procurement, construction and commissioning through to handover.

Key accountabilities for the position will be:

• Support design and delivery of electrical systems across the project
• Prepare and review electrical drawings, calculations and specifications
• Provide input into selection of switchboards, transformers and cabling
• Coordinate electrical scope with mechanical, civil and process disciplines
• Support procurement through technical specifications and vendor review
• Respond to RFIs and resolve site-based technical issues
• Support installation, testing and commissioning activities

Required Skills and Competencies

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Demonstrated experience in electrical engineering on infrastructure or water projects
• Working knowledge of applicable Australian Standards and electrical codes
Experience across design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or Engineers Australia membership desirable
