Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, delivery and commissioning of mechanical systems for the Wyaralong project in Australia. You will prepare drawings, specifications, and calculations, ensuring alignment with Australian Standards and project requirements, while coordinating with process, civil, structural and electrical disciplines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in mechanical engineering on water or infrastructure projects.
• Working knowledge of Australian Standards and industry codes.
• Experience across design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
• Engineers Australia membership or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status desirable.

About the Opportunity

As Mechanical Engineer, you will support the design, delivery and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment across the Wyaralong project. You will prepare and review mechanical drawings, specifications and calculations, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and project requirements. You will provide technical input on pumps, piping and valves, coordinate closely with process, civil, structural and electrical disciplines, and support procurement, construction and commissioning through to handover.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Demonstrated experience in mechanical engineering on water or infrastructure projects

• Engineers Australia membership or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status desirable
