Glencore's Mount Isa Mines in Queensland is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to deliver large-scale mechanical projects within the Smelter Projects team. Based in Mount Isa, you’ll work with operations, maintenance and project teams to implement engineering solutions across a major processing operation.

You’ll hold a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, have experience in mining or heavy industry, manage scopes from design to commissioning, and thrive on safety leadership and continuous improvement.

Formación

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Experience in mining, minerals processing, heavy industry or similar environment
• Experience across project scoping, design, fabrication, installation and commissioning workflows
• Strong planning, problem-solving and organisational skills

Responsabilidades

• Deliver mechanical projects safely, on time and within budget
• Develop project scopes, engineering solutions and execution plans
• Coordinate design, procurement, fabrication and installation activities
• Support commissioning and project handover activities
• Build strong working relationships with operational and maintenance teams
• Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability, safety and productivity
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, statutory requirements and site procedures
